What is Germicidal Ultra Violet Light (GUVL)?

GUVL is germicidal which deactivates the DNA of bacteria, viruses and other pathogens – thus destroys their ability to multiply and cause disease.

As air flows past the GUV lamp(s) in a UV disinfection system (EG: sanitising machine) and, the surface organisms are exposed to GUV light, micro-organisms are targeted by Ultraviolet light energy. The micro-organisms are then considered dead – and, the risk of disease from them is then eliminated.

The UVclean sanitisation process has an substantiated effective kill rate against micro-organisms of 99.9% (3 log) germ and bacteria reduction.
